The functions of the Technology Assessment and Packaging Section (TAPS) are as follows:

  • Plans and conducts R&D activities towards the formulation of models and protocols on technology assessment and packaging.
  • Coordinates, integrates and implements activities/strategies related to verification, assessment and packaging of technologies towards effective technology adoption or commercialization along sectoral concerns of DENR in coordination with the technical divisions.
  • Reviews and evaluates technologies for packaging. Serves as first-level clearing house for technology promotion and transfer in coordination with the technical divisions; and
  • Provides technical assistance on technology assessment and packaging to DENR units, clientele, end-users and civil society

The functions of the Technology Promotion, Monitoring and Evaluation and Extension Section (TPMEES) are as follows:

  • Plans and conducts R&D activities towards the formulation of models and protocols on technology promotion and extension.
  • Coordinates, integrates and implements promotion and extension strategies for the effective adoptions or commercialization of technologies along sectoral concerns of DENR.
  • Reviews, monitors, and evaluates technology promotion and extension activities/strategies and programs.
  • Reviews, monitors, and evaluates technologies transferred;
  • Leads in the preparation of prototype technology transfer/IEC materials and ENR publications and coordinates related activities of ERDB technical divisions and Research Centers.
  • Provides promotional services and coordinates related activities of ERDB technical divisions and Research Centers.
  • Assists technical divisions in the conduct of training related to RDE programs/projects/activities; and
  • Provides assistance on extension services to DENR units, clientele, end-users and civil society and coordinates related activities of ERDB technical divisions and Research Centers.
