The Watershed and Water Resources Research Development and Extension Center (WWRRDEC) is one of the six research centers of the Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau (ERDB) that was created during the Rationalization Plan of the government as embodied in Executive Order (EO) 366.
The Center is located in Loakan-Liwanag, Baguio City, while its two (2) Research Stations are based as follows: Northern Luzon Ecosystems Research Station (NLERS) in San Luis, Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya and Central Luzon Ecosystems Research Station (CLERS) in Diosdado Macapagal Government Center, Maimpis, City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
Geared towards Center of Excellence for Watershed and Water Resources, the WWRRDEC mainly focuses its Research, Development and Extension services on the management, protection, conservation, and other areas of concern on watershed and water resources.

Mission
To generate and transfer appropriate technologies and information on watershed and water resources towards well-managed and protected watersheds that produce bountiful, clear waters for the improvement of the quality of life of the Filipino people
Functions
- Plans, formulates, and implements RDE programs/ projects/activities including generation and transfer of technologies related to management of watersheds and water resources in accordance with the national RDE agenda and framework
- Provides technical assistance to clientele on watershed and water resources management and other ENR technologies
