After two years of being cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the ERDB opened the ERDB Sportsfest 2022 on June 13, 2022 at the ERDB quadrangle. This year’s theme Is “Kalusugan ay Pagyamanin, Samahan ay Pagtibayin”.

Unlike the previous sportsfests, this year has the “Pistang Pamilyang DENR themed celebration.

In her welcome message ERDB Assistant Director Mayumi Quintos Natividad emphasized the importance of physical activities like sports for a healthy mind and body.

ERDB Employees’ Association (ERDBEA) President Adreana S. Remo encouraged everyone to meet new people and nurture relationships to promote camaraderie among employees. According to her, these were the activities that were hampered due to limited physical activities brought about by the pandemic.

The lighting of the torch followed through that marked the official opening of the 2022 ERDB Sportsfest.

Mr. Nelson Levi Lantican, overall sports coordinator mentioned the different sports lined up for the occasion. These include basketball, volleyball, table tennis, scrabble, dama, dart and table tennis.

Mr. Emmanuel Cuison, Chief, Finance and Administrative Services Division (FASD) of ERDB led the Oath of Sportsmanship. On the other hand,

Ms. Janine C. Baguhin, ERDBEA Secretary mentioned the different “palarong pinoy” games (Filipino games) including sipa, “pukpok palayok”, dama and scrabble.

The program ended with the Zumba of all ERDB employees.

After the program, “Pinoy merienda” (Filipino snacks) composed of “lugaw”, “pandesal”, ‘taho”, boiled “saging na saba” and boiled “camote” were served.
