A total of sixteen technical staff from the Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau – Coastal Resources and Ecotourism Research, Development and Extension Center (ERDB-CRERDEC); Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Conservation and Development Division Region 7 (DENR-CDD 7); Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) Bohol; and Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Tagbilaran,  Bohol convened on May 17-18, 2022 at Camp 7, Minglanilla, Cebu for an intensive and participatory workshop that aims to produce a technical report on the recently completed comprehensive mangrove damage assessment wrought by typhoon Odette in the Province of Bohol. The effort attempts to deliberate issues, address data gaps, and develop a standard report on the degree of damage to the mangroves of each municipalities in Bohol wrought by Typhoon Odette.

Output reports were presented and critiqued. Standard contents and data analyses were deliberated and agreed upon. The science-based information/data generated by the comprehensive assessment shall provide basis for mangrove rehabilitation interventions that could be implemented by the DENR and the concerned LGUs in Bohol. //CVRallos, DFGuinit
