The Philippine Society for the Study of Nature, Inc. held its 14th conference at the Benguet State University on May 21 - 23, 2014. The theme of the conference is "Private-Public Partnership: Creating Possibilities for a Responsible Resource Use". The sub-themes in the conference include environmental governance and people's participation, green technology and economy, environmental education and advocacy, partnership for the environment, and environmental research and methods.

Two hundred participants attended the conference. For ERDB, the two representatives were Dr. Lynlei Pintor and For. Albert Piñon. The rest of the participants represent the different universities in the country.

There were three categories for the Best Paper Award such as social sciences, integrative studies, and biological sciences, wherein Dr. Pintor won the Best Paper Award under the social sciences category for her paper " Allocation and Usage of Water for Water Governance in Sta. Cruz River Watershed, Laguna, Philippines". For. Piñon won the Best Paper Award for the biological sciences category for his paper on Genetic Characterization of Halfsib Progenies of Three Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus deglupta x E. pellita) Hybrids Planted in Northern Mindanao.
