To mark its 30th anniversary celebration, ERDB has prepared activities for the 2-day event.
On December 11, 2017, a ribbon cutting of the exhibit will be held at 8:45 AM at the DENR lobby. DENR Secretary Roy A. Cimatu will cut the ribbon during the opening of the exhibit. The exhibit will feature the history of ERDB from the time that it was established in 1976 up to present.
Also on Dec. 11 at 9:30 AM, a symposium on ENR technology adoption will be held at the Air Quality Management Training Center (AQMTC) of the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) in Quezon City.
A presentation of three (3) technology adopters will also be conducted. The three (3) technology adopters are: CELYO Inc. on Clonal Propagation Technology in Tuguegarao City; BAMPA, Inc. on Mangrove Propagation with Talaba Culture in Silay City, Negros Occidental and Mr. Antonio Dominao on Bamboo Propagation using Branch Cuttings in Impalutao, Bukidnon.
In addition, Dr. Carmelita I. Villamor, Chief of CZFERD (Coastal Zone and Freshwater Ecosystem Research Center) will present a paper followed by Dr. Carlos S. Arida, Jr. of WWRRC (Watershed and Wastewater Resources Research Center).
The celebration will conclude on December 12 at the DENR Social Hall with a recognition of three (3) ENR technology adopters from each of the six (6) research centers all over the country.
Also on December 12, an audio-visual presentation on ERDB @ 30 will be shown. This will be followed by a lecture by Dr. Aida B. Lapis, a retired Scientist I of ERDB on “What it takes to work on RDE on ENR?”.
Dr. Aurora S. Jose, Supervising Science Research Specialist of ERDB will discuss the rationale of the recognition for technology adopters. The technology adopters will be given a certificate and token of appreciation. Marla V. Cambay, TTD
