More bamboo to grow at Fort Magsaysay. Acting Director Henry A. Adornado of the Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau (right) and Major General Glorioso V. Miranda of the Philippine Army's 7th Infantry Division inked a memorandum of agreement on March 31 to jointly develop a 670-hectare plantation of bamboo and indigenous trees within Fort Magsaysay Military Reservation, Brgy. Caballero, Palayan City, Nueva Ecija. It is the second tie up of the two parties under the National Greening Program. The first agreement was signed in June 2013 in which both parties agreed to establish a huge 3,000-hectare plantation of pure bamboo in the reservation until 2016.
