ERDB shared its knowledge on bamboo through exhibit at Oktoberfest 2015 in Camp Capinpin, Tanay, Rizal on October 23-25. The said event was hosted by the 2nd Infantry Division (2ID), Philippine Army with the theme, "Winning Partners for Peace and Development."

Three bamboo species such as Bolo, Kawayang tinik, Buho, and Giant Bamboo were featured at the exhibit. Soldiers and civilians who visited were informed on the ecological and economical benefits of bamboo. Information, education and communication (IEC) materials were also displayed and given away.

Col. Dante R. Bartotilla, Chief of Governance and Strategy Management Office, 2ID, welcomed the participants and expressed his gratitude to their active partners. He shared that one of the objectives of the event is to strengthen the relationship of the soldiers and civilians to pursue peace and development in their area of responsibility.

Guest speaker Hon. Mel Senen S. Sarmiento, the DILG Secretary, commended the 2ID management for organizing the Oktobest 2015. He assured the 2ID that DILG is with them in their endeavor. He also stated that he is positive that the Philippine Army will achieve its vision of a world-class army that is a source of national pride.
