WWRRDEC staff planting seedlings within the WWRRDEC compound during the Arbor Day celebration

Philippine Arbor Day is held every 25th day of the month of June. This is to celebrate and promote healthier ecosystems for the people through the rehabilitation and regreening of the environment.

For this year 2021 amidst the pandemic, the Watershed and Water Resources Research Development and Extension Center (WWRRDEC) staff joined the nationwide tree planting activity in celebration of Arbor Day.

The DENR offices and other private sectors simultaneously conducted and participated in the planting activity nationwide within their areas of responsibility.

One hundred coffee seedlings were planted within the premises of WWRRDEC compound. During the said activity, physical distancing was observed.

After the tree planting, Dr. Camilo C. Domingo, Jr., Administrative and Financial Management Service (AFMS) Chief of WWRRDEC acknowledged the efforts of the WWRRDEC staff who participated in the said activity.  Criskim C. Parian
