Los Banos, Laguna – The Department of Environment and Natural Resources – Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau (ERDB) devised an online mechanism for job applicants to send their requirements online for the vacated positions in the Bureau.
This COVID-19 pandemic has led various agencies to adapt to the new normal including the recruitment process. With the technology available today, like cloud platforms, AI-powered analytics and automation, online recruitment becomes a more feasible approach while being in a global pandemic.
In this regard, ERDB adapted to the normal with the use of Google Forms in the recruitment process. Applicants may submit their requirements and the necessary attachments online and through email. The effective use of technology allows the general public to apply for positions without physically submitting their applications therefore minimizing the risk of exposure to the virus.
ERDB is the research and development arm of the DENR. Its R & D and extension activities are focused on the five major ecosystems of the Philippines which include forests, upland farms, grassland and degraded areas, coastal zone and freshwater, and urban areas. Allysa Marie C. Federio, TTD
