The Human Resource and Development (HRD) unit of the Ecosystems Research and Development Bureau (ERDB) once again received the PRIME-HRM Bronze Award from the Civil Service Commission (CSC) during the Prime-HRM Forum and Awarding ceremony held on July 5, 2019 at the Grand Ballroom, B Hotel in Diliman, Quezon City.
The award was given as a result of the on-site assessment by the CSC NCR at ERDB on May 22-23, 2018. Based on the assessment ERDB has met the PRIME-HRM Level 2 Maturity Indicators in the Systems, Practices and Competencies of the following four (4) core HRM Systems: 1) Recruitment, Selection and Placement; 2) Performance and Management;3) Learning and Development; and 4) Awards and Recognition. ERDB was also found to be continuously compliant with the Civil Service Laws and Rules in terms of implementation of the other HR Programs and the maintenance of HR records.
The PRIME-HRM Award stands for Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management. It is a mechanism to support the attainment of the Civil Service Commission’s vision of becoming a Center of Excellence for Human Resource and Organization Development. PRIME-HRM assesses the agency’s human resource management competencies, systems, and practices toward HR excellence.
ERDB Asst. Director Bighani M. Manipula and Ms. Marilou C. Arcillas, Chief of the Human Resource Development (HRD) of ERDB received the plaques of appreciation. Also in attendance during the awarding ceremony were Director Hanz R. Alcantara, PRIME-HRM Assistor; Director Judith A. Dongallo-Chicano, Dir. Jennifer I. Timbol, and Dir. Fe F. Lacaba, CSCFO-DENR/DA.
There were more than 100 government offices that were evaluated by the CSC and ERDB was one of those which qualified for the award. The previous PRIME-HRM award was given to ERDB last March 8, 2017.
